It’s hard to see an episode where a bunch of people die of horrific radiation poisoning – not to mention where a freaking missile is fired and kills a ton of people -- as “taking a breather”, but “Rubicon” did hold off on the Mount Weather vs. Everyone battle truly coming to fruition for now. But a lot of pieces were moved around the board in big ways, as The 47 broke free, Dante made his boldest move yet against his son (though he also now has been injected and can likely walk on the surface, just as Cage now can) and Clarke and Lexa’s partnership took a very dark turn.
