Honestly people are taking these emails way too seriously, or just out of context. It's a movie studio, which means ideas need to be flowing through it. Would someone actually grab these ideas? No.
Look at it as a screenwriter, simply getting "optioned" gets you paid and is a huge step. Does that mean the movie will get made? No way. It just means if someone ever wants to make it, that studio gets it. You know how many terrible scripts get optioned and never made? Now you see why I find these leaks dumb. Sure someone at the studio thought "Hey lets make a movie about that douche Kanye!" Okay.... keep it on the table just in case I guess.....
