Suicide Squad: 10 Reasons It Will Save The DC Cinematic Universe

WC: It’s fair to say that so far things haven’t been looking great for the DC Cinematic Universe. Man Of Steel failed to wow audiences, disappointing at the box office, and its sequel, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has suffered from consistent bad press, with set leaks revealing nothing but disappointing and extraneous elements. It’s beginning to look like announcing their planned slate all the way up to 2020 may have been a little over-expectant.

Screw the haters DC is doing just fine. I like the fact that they are mixing it up with a lot of concept films like this instead of just going straight for franchises like Marvel. Lest we forget, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2-3, Thor 1-2, and Captain America TFA were pretty much duds.

And I never felt like Marvel every really built a believable shared universe with their films. We never got a lot of inter-mingling of characters, just small easter eggs here and there with the occasional Nick Fury cameo.
