There has been speculation in the past that Shazam will be a standalone movie with no links to the Justice League or DC Cinematic Universe, and now a Tweet from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in response to a fan seemingly reveals that it may indeed be set apart from those.
"If you are already a fan of this franchise, this is a very good option this weekend at the cinema. It's well made, the actors are great and the story/world setting is very interesting." - Bryan (Resident Entertainment)
Ashley Madison-Sex Lies and Scandal Review: The documentary refuses to take a stand on whether or not it wants us to feel bad for cheaters, infuriating viewers with its wishy washy attitude.
Monster Review: While this film delivers elements of horror and thriller, they're only sporadically effective, leaving the overall experience falling short of expectations.
Jeez don't hurt hurt yourself reaching for this one cbm.com. And I still don't understand that Toby Emmerich "not a JL character bit". Gonna have to speak a lil louder and smarter there Toby.
Anyways this actually really bugs me if there is any thruth behind it. I can see why Arrow and Flash and all the other shows would stay apart but Shazam feels like he should and could be part of the wider picture. Seeing the eventual Shazam and his child-like mind interact with the other heroes would be fun and hilarious. I don't necessarily see a why the tone alone ruins it's chances but I guess weirder things have happened.
