i had minimal expectations before watching the film and it was what i expected, more of a guilty pleasure. the two main character chloe and julianne moore did a good job but it is overshadowed easily by the actresses who played in the original. the tone was more eerie before and was effective during that time, this new film concentrated on bullying and it took out any horror that should have been in the tone. there was even a scene were carrie was trying out her powers which really does not work in this film.
