Kick-Ass 2 | Second Opinions| Review| GeekedOutNation

Some of the jokes are very subtle and funny, but that’s not to say that some of the obvious humor was very funny, however at times the humor felt like it was trying way too hard to be gross and vulgar and it just comes off as painfully unfunny. Something that carries over to the second film is the music score is fantastic, however some of the other music in the soundtrack was not very good. So now that the heroes are out of the way let us get to the villains and what did not work. The actor who replaces Evan Peters is awful he is annoying and unfunny; also I felt he didn’t have nearly as good of chemistry with the other actors. Another performance I had a problem with was Christopher Mintz-Plasse who though you could tell he was having a blast in this film he is just not villain material. He is not intimidating or menacing this makes the film feel like there is nothing at stake.
