Magnolia‘s Magnet Releasing has not one, but two morbid anthology series churning out sequels. i have mixed insights on this new trailer there are a lot of good scary scenes and several quite normal scenes. i liked the first VHS and 4 out of 6 were good, i think this film might only have 3/3 or 50% of the good stuff against the not so memorable segments.

The Daily Rotation - V/H/S 2 Review

Sean of The Daily Rotation wrote, "Last year once again saw the rise of the horror anthology film. While most of the best (and well known) entries into the genre were made in the 80′s and early 90′s, we have recently seen a resurgence with films like Chillerama, The ABC’s of Death, and V/H/S,which became notorious after a late night screening at the Sundance Film Festival where it sold in the hallway after the movie. This inevitably led to V/H/S 2 (or S-V/H/S as it was once called) and of course, soon we’ll see The ABC’s of Death 2 as well, but for now, we’ll see what V/H/S 2 has in store for us with a crop of new directors, and some returning faces (Adam Wingard, Simon Barrett), but the most important part was new content in the established style of a wide variety of found footage devices."

V/H/S 2 Review | All That's Epic

ATE writes: "Reviewing an anthology film like V/H/S 2 is always interesting to do. Instead of talking about a single movie, you get to talk about however many shorts the particular film has. In this case, we have 5 short films spread over the course of about an hour and a half. This review will cover the film as a whole, in comparison to the first film, and will have individual analysis of the shorts. Enjoy!"

V/H/S 2 Review - Leviathyn

V/H/S 2 is a well done, scary anthology film. I’d definitely give it a chance even if you didn’t really love the first one.
