"K.I.S.S, Keep it Simple, Stupid. This is the initialism on the post-it notes that screen-scribblers use to trim the fat off their unruly pages. It’s one that despite its two hour twenty minute running time, Marvel’s The Avengers cut a brutally effective swath with a third of the effort. But at the cost of its potential smarts, was it worth it?"
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
The only reason why it made more money is 3D. Its that simple. 3D is more expensive and people seem to love it for whatever reason.
TDKR was 3deep5u
Sorry but tdrk has a weak story, full off holes and its not even in the some league as the dark knight. Good but not amazing. Slow paced, almost no Batman and the end is crap. The autopilot... The fight with bane was nothing compared with the comics. The way he recovered from the problem in «hell»... i could go on.
The Avengers is a cool summer blockbuster, nothing more. Its a diferente universe, nothing with DC.
This dude is just butt-hurt batman fan. And this is coming from a batman fan. I love batman and I love movies. And sure the second movie was awesome but that one also had it's faults, main one being that the actual fights sucked on that one.
Avengers is one of the best if not "THE" best superhero movie ever. It ain't perfect either but it delivers what superhero fans want, great superhero action. That's what made spiderman 2 one of the best superhero films out there, good story and characters with great powers battling it out.
The batman movies have been great movies, in my opinion. They are just not movies in which batman himself is great thou. He's actually sucked pretty bad @ being "the worlds greatest detective" in them.
If there was a justice league movie right now and batman was written the way he is on these movies you could see that he actually has....nothing to offer to the team unlike he does in the comics.
This batman a terrible detective, mediocre tactitian but a good fighter. Which in a team like the Justice League, means your easily replaceable.
They were both fantastic movies for very different reasons. Personally, I preferred the Avengers for one reason: it was fun. I don't know about you, but I see a lot of movies that are able to achieve serious and dramatic. There are far fewer that successfully achieve being a fun movie experience. It's why I love Star Wars (particularly the original) and Indiana Jones.
Avengers doesn't take itself too seriously. It's witty, fun, and full of action that makes you want to cheer.
TDKR takes it in a completely other direction, and one that fits its source material. TDKR is very serious and it's for that reason that its flaws are harder to swallow, in my opinion.
I'm not sure you can really say one is better than the other, it's more just personal preference. Christopher Nolan and Joss Whedon are both in a league of their own when it comes to comic book movies.
