Well Horizon 2 is definitely in development and while it could be a late PS4 title I think it's more likely that it's in development for the PS5. It's pretty much the perfect system for the PS5's first year.

Bloodborne 2 probably won't happen this gen. Miyazaki and his team are busy working on Sekiro which started development back in 2015 right after the Bloodborne dlc was finished. Even if they start development for Bloodborne 2 right after Sekiro releases next year it'll be a PS5 game.

The other 3 seem much more likely to me but Yoshida didn't specify that the unannounced exclusive games he was talking about are AAA titles.

Zero dawn is an expensive IP. So Sony would def want a lot of sale from its sequel. So Prolly 2nd year of PS5.

I think so too but It definitely won't be called Zero Dawn 2. Zero Dawn is the subtitle of the first game.

@I_am_Batman Yea just like Metal Gear. Solid is merely the subtitle. Metal Gear being its primary name. At the end of the day you don't know what it will be called.

@jivah: Except that Zero Dawn is very specific to the story of Horizon. It wouldn't make sense to continue with that subtitle.

And a PS4 titel, whe are talking about Sony here. They never abandoned a system what is on the market in favour of a new console, the proof is the PS3 in the first years of the PS4.

Lol it wont, sony will not ditch ps pro before at least 6 years from its release, they cant, and u can bank on horizon 2 (maybe new dawn) to be out before that 6 years, so it will be at least on pro for sure and the next ps iteration.

I think it will be on both PS4 and PS5. I believe Sony will make PS5 fully backward compatible with the PS4 system in order to avoid starting with zero install base like in the past.

@neoandrew: 6 years? That's November 2022. Unlikely unless the PS5 comes out in 2022. Sony said from the start that the PS4 pro is still considered a PS4 and that it won't extend the life cycle of the PS4. They also clarified that it won't get any games that the standard PS4 won't get.

They definitely won't keep releasing every 1st party title on PS4 for that long. The PS5 will be vastly more powerful especially in terms of CPU power. They'd have to leave that potential mostly untapped for PS5 games to be able to run on PS4's hardware. Not to mention that they'll want to sell as many PS5s as quickly as possible. Not having any exclusive games would be a disaster in terms of sales.

@Playwatch: You mean they'll keep the PS4 forwards compatible? Because the PS5 being backwards compatible would still mean that they start with zero install base.

Another will be from the people behind Gravity Rush 2

Third will be a side project from Naughty Dog. This one is deep in secrecy but I think it will be something different. Could be a totally different genre.

Those games aren't coming out on PS4. The God of War sequel probably isn't even in pre production yet. It won't come out before 2022. Those are PS5 titles except for Medievil.

Depends on what Shu means by first party, it could mean internal or external studios making exclusives.

Bloodborne 2 could be developed internally at Japan Studio, with Miyazaki acting as a consultant or some of the Bloodborne 1 team at From Software assisting in the game's direction.
Japan could also be making another Gravity Rush title.
There have been rumors of a big new IP in development at Japan too, since the beginning of the generation.
Perhaps the Knack team are working on a new Platformer title or VR game.

Insomniac could be well into developing a new Ratchet & Clank game or even something else new for PS4 with the team that worked on the first Ratchet PS4 game.

Guerilla could release a new Killzone, Horizon sequel or another game from their pool of new IP concepts for PS4.

Ready at Dawn could be working with Santa Monica on a sequel to The Order 1886.

San Diego could be working on more small games like Kill Strain, but different and not free 2 play.
Media Molecule could have another Tearaway game in development.
There could be another LBP game in development.

Lots of potential for games that could come to either PS4, PS5 or PSVR.

Aren't you forgetting that PlayStation part ways with Ready At Dawn. So it's not likely that they would make a sequel to The Order 1886 but since Santa Monica helped work on the game, I could see them working on the sequel instead.

Since RaD developed the IP I doubt Santa Monica would want to take over, they helped with the technical aspects of development on PS4, most likely Sony would want Ready at Dawn to continue.

The game may not have had critical acclaim with the title, but the first game sold well enough to justify trying again with the IP.
There's plenty of lore to build the franchise on.

The evidence is that Ready At Dawn is making Multiplatform games now. PlayStation ended partnerships with Ready At Dawn right after The Order 1886 was released and received a lot mixed reviews. They didn't renew the partnership even though they have partner up for more than a decade. As you can see Ready At Dawn partner up with GameStop right after to make "Deformers", and right after that they partner up with Oculus Rift to make "Lone Echo." Both PlayStation amd Ready At Dawn haven't even hinted that will work on another game together.

So in other words you're assuming, without evidence.
Neither companies came out and stated no more games will be made in the series of The Order.

Ready at Dawn making other games isn't proof they broke ties with Sony, it's just proof they made something else.

There's no proof the partnership ended, considering it's only been 3 and a bit years it's just that RaD and Sony haven't announced a successor to the first Order game.
Plenty of people have asked for a sequel, the first game sold well and after the first released the Devs confirmed the game was made to be a series.

Unless you can provide an actual source, from either Sony or Ready at Dawn stating there will never be a sequel to the first The Order game, all that can be said is there's no news.
What you said isn't evidence.

The Order 1886 sequel has so much potential. The setting, characters and story are amazing. Gameplay and pacing need big overhaul though. To Ready at Dawns credit creating a new IP is very difficult to get all aspect of the game great. There’s a great foundation here for something really special.

I doubt Until Dawn and the Order 1886 will get a sequel. Especially, the Order 1886. It's a good game with great graphics. But the gameplay wasn't that interesting and dull. I'm afraid the studio didn't get enough revenue to produce the next one.
