That "tone of the Avengers" thing didn't exactly sit so well with the Green Lantern. Leave the bright & happy wappy stuff to Marvel. Let DC take the darker & more serious tone with the JL. Then just pick your poison. Variety never hurt anyone :b

I love John but Hal would add some humor that the other characters like Batman or Superman probably won't. With John, the team would be completely serious.

The got lucky with Nolan's Batman trilogy and the Man of Steel looks promising aswell, but as much as i wanna see this movie i can't help but think WB will run it to the ground. I hope i'm wrong.

I cannot possibly facepalm hard enough. This article fails so freaking hard. It's clearly a black man. You can see his hair line, you can see his nose, lips. WTF WOULD VENOM BE DOING THERE!!!! I hope the each character gets a decent amount of their respective color at least. Hope Wolvie gets some yellow, Cyclops gets some blue etc.

It shouldn't have a lighter tone. Any lighter and it would be scooby doo. Nolan's Batman had the perfect atmosphere. BUT... It shouldn't be so grounded on reality. I'd love to see Solomon Grundy, Clayface, Hush, Killer Croc and all those would never happen in Nolan's series. The next Batman films should look towards Rocksteady's Arkham games for inspiration. They really nailed the Batman universe beautifully.
Wha??? Andrew Garfield NOT GOOD? I respect your opinion but Andrew Garfield is a great actor (Try 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' or 'The Social Network'). As for not being a good Peter i gotta disagree. He looks like the Spider-man: Unlimited Peter just walked off the saturday morning screen. Among other versions of Parker. I'd look for images but it sounds like WAAAAAAAAY to much work. I probably won't even finish this sente....
I could be wrong but maybe hardcore fans are looking for something along the lines of a live action Peter Parker and a hand drawn on to the screen Spidey. Because that's as close as your gonna get to the "original look" :O
That's stupid. All you need is a good writer, a good choice in villains, a big budget and voila. Watch the Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the imperfects intro or the DC Universe cinematic trailer, both Supes and Hulk die in those TRAILERS (Supes gets killed by a human!!!). So please don't spout nonsense.
