Well pretty much anyone would be better the Ryan Renolds, and Blake Lively wasn't great by any means. I remember how Hugh Jackman wasn't a big name before xmen and now no one could imagine anyone else playing the character. I used to be a huge Gina Carano fan, but like many others I now could care less. Sure she used to be the face of womens mma, but by vanishing for years after her first loss she left a bad taste in the mouth of fans, even more so by announcing a fight then backing out right before without so much as an explanation why. Now all the hype about her becoming a movie star is tired and irrelevant, like her career in mma.

Sad news indeed. They've long destroyed the franchise. One was great, 2 and 3 were acceptable, but they just ruined it by killing off jigsaw. The gore that its now "known for" is the least interesting part of the other films, totally pointless and not scary at all. Unfortunately the story gets lost in all the fake screaming so you're left with few scenes worth watching.
They should start up a new saw series with Cary Elwes playing...
My favorite Disney film, a total classic. Many people who were young when this came out want to show it to their kids now. Movies like this have lasting power, and unlike so many other beloved childhood memories, Disney movies don't get awful remakes.

WOW this is huge news. I can see how they need to separate the two, from a business standpoint they really are different services. While I think most people will be angry no matter what they do, I can see this still working out for most people. They're gonna need to really advertise qwikster and make sure everyone understands the difference. Games are a nice incentive for going the mail route, and give gamefly some competition, which is always good for consumers.
Kirsten Dunst isn't attractive, nor are her boobs anything especially worthy to be spreading around the internet. The fact that shes going topless for a new film is just a lame way to revitalize her sagging career like Jennifer Anistan did a few years back.
I was livid when I found out about this a while back. Hollywood is so clueless they can't be left in charge of anything nowadays. Thanks to the internet the people can and do, do their jobs for them and provide countless corrections to their awful ideas. Well lets see, Hal Jordan is a serious character, making Ryan Reynolds a poor choice since he's a comedic actor which annoyed comic book fans.
Hector Hammond is very confusing and completely irrelevant to the story as a whole, which many question why he was ever written in.

This summer was weak as hell. Rise was the only movie to truly beat its expectations, almost as good as the original planet of the apes movie. Some others could have been great, but didn't keep it together. You can almost see the cash grab, like they couldn't bother to polish it up.

As for the rest of you, jonny depp only pays one character in all of his movies and it ain't the revenge driven badass, I dont know where you people could come up with that. They really need to cancel this joke of a project and leave the good movies alone.
This could be good. On the surface I'd think fail, but Liam Neeson is an acting god so he brings some respect. Brooklyn Decker will provide the eye candy. And Rihanna while having no acting gig prior, is very well liked in general, so most wont be too critical of her. If the plot is passable and the other actors can keep the cheese to a minimum, I think it can rise to moderate success.
Given the leaked plot, I have to believe this is gonna fail hard. I really want it to be good, but I wont hold my breath on it.
Prequels in general are terrible, if you really need to flesh out the backstory, let the audience learn it with the characters in a sequel. The characters find pieces that reveal things about past.

Blackpearl was the only really good one so far, then they pulled a matrix trilogy with the sequels. ohh well..
