R1 and Solo are probably the best movies in the SW franchise. unfortunately Solo flopped because E7 and E8 were the worst movies in the franchise and made many fans give up.

normal people relate to the life of a person not his gender or race, Luke was a normal kid living with a working class family, Leia was a princess of a whole planet, who is more relatable to the average person?
problem with new Star Wars is that characters are crated based on identity mandates with shallow character writing, I still don't know them, the actors are good but they cant do much with the material they have.
doesn't have to be a reboot, just make it about a new section with new characters.
the narrative for the new generation is messed up and doesn't have any sort of cohesion, whatever good is from the great cast who try to do the best with the material they have.
all the "white american" friends I know love the movie, they are a reason it's setting sales records.
you can love your tribe without hating another, racism and counter racism are wrong, you need to decide to be out of that loop.
the Movie had great reception and great sales. Since they can't blame SJW for ruining it they have to make up stuff like this.

there was a great story arc in the EU old republic era where the villains are zealot light side Jedi masters who killed kids trying to stop a prophecy, they didn't have hate or anger but they also cut off empathy, it was one of the best SW stories ever.
the First Order could have been something like that instead of the same old darkside/Sith plot.

exactly how I felt back then, the movie was a drastic change in tone from the cartoon series so it got me way off guard, classic Auotobots like Ironhide and Wheeljack dying left and right was a shock to me.
still the best Transformers movie.
