It's the biggest non-3D opening ever.

Saw the Hobbit poster yesterday. Looks pretty awesome. Already have people saying they'll pay me to bring one back for them lol

The Pacific Rim one looks pretty interesting too. I want to see more about that one. And is it just me or is anyone else reminded of Halo looking at that one?

Scotty doesn't know! Best. Cameo. Ever.

Firefly panel is going to be hell to get into. However, I do have possible plans to go to a different panel that includes Fillion. We'll have to see about autographs. Asking for them during interviews is a no-no.

But I'll definitely see about bringing about some goodies for y'all.

That's true. Alice was created for the films.

Don't worry. I think (fingers crossed) I have my scheduled nailed down now. So, unless anything comes up, I should be camping in Hall H the entire day Saturday. That means Man of Steel, Hobbit, Pacific Rim, Django Unchained, Iron Man 3, Silent Hill and End of Watch. Plus whatever trailers they show. So yeah, that should be a pretty awesome day. Well, besides sitting in the same shitty uncomfortable chair for like 12 hours straight. Ah, the sacrifices I make for you guys :D lol

Then by all means, jump right in and get to participating :)

I'll never be a fan of Tatum really, but I don't hate on him like so many do. I can understand why this role would sell someone on not hating Tatum anymore. He does show he has some comedic and acting chops of sorts here. However, what you see from him here is something I already noticed back in his cameo role in The Dilemma.

I actually found this one to be pretty funny. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. That being said, it wasn't entirely great, but still well worth the watch I thought and carried plenty of laughs.

I will say, though, that this really has nothing on Ted in terms of "comedy of the year" potential. I'd highly recommend that one.

I actually liked Afterlife as well. I've like the entire franchise. I don't get why people rag on it so much. If I'm honest, I'd have to say this whole franchise lands on my list of "good video game-to-movie adaptations". I'll be looking forward to this one as well.

Most hyped? Even over TDKR? I can't say that at all. TDKR is my most hyped movie of the year..period. That being said, Spider-Man has to be the comic book movie I'm looking forward to most behind TDKR. That even counts Avengers. Looking forward to this one more than I did Avengers.

And honestly, I think this could be better than Avengers. Don't get me wrong, Avengers was good. But it wasn't "best comic book movie eveR!!!" like many claimed.

Watched it last night myself. It was hilarious. I'd definitely recommend going to see it. Especially if you're a fan of Seth's work and don't mind seeing it cranked up a notch on the vulgarity/offensive/crudeness scale. I laughed my ass off.

Yeah, it's the same characters and all. This is just a different look, focusing on Dwight and his life on the beet farm.

I think it could be fun actually. Dwight can be awesome and I'll at least give it a shot, with some decent expectations.

I thought he did great in Batman Begins. It will be interesting to see how he's utilized in this one, though I'm guessing it won't be anything big.

Yeah, I don't much care for her. I won't totally avoid her movies, but if she's a lead, I don't have high hopes for the movie. Hell, she's not even that hot, so I'm not sure why she gets by with continuing to do movies.

That's part of the point. It wasnt always that fanboys were so selective. Used to the market was baren enough that merely putting out a comic book movie would put asses in seats. Now, it's not such a guarantee. Fanboys have become selective due to bad movies, yes. However, they have the option of being selective merely because of oversaturation. They know there will be plenty to choose from, so they can be selective.

Furthermore, quality doesnt entirely have an affect...

That's a matter of perspective. I'd take Batman or Superman over anything Marvel has to offer any day.

But that's neither here nor there. A comic book movie is a comic book movie. This isnt a Marvel vs DC debate. All comic book movies are targeting the same demographic no matter who it comes from.

That thought crossed my mind too. Though he seems to be carrying them semi haphazardly if the intention is to save one for collection purposes. But in the end, I'm sure none of it means anything.

You do have to get a member id to get tickets now. However, that id doesnt guarantee you a pass. Granted I've only dealt with press passes so I dont know all the details for fan passes, but I do know that much at least.
