They just don’t seem to realize that having female lead characters isn’t the problem. It’s that they keep taking property’s with a majority male fan base and swapping the sex around. Not gonna help when most of the people who really want to go see these movies are men. I think these box office bombs have proven women don’t show up to these movies in large numbers. I’m not knocking women. Numbers don’t lie.

I’ve been very iffy on this move. Leto is a fantastic actor. But this movie could have easily been terrible. Could still be. But I liked this trailer. I’m looking forward to see more of it.

I sort of agree. Deadpool works in almost every media he’s in. Cartoons he can be serious or funny depending on the style of show. His comics are the same. He might be the comedic relief in a spiderman comic. But in an xforce or his own series he can me a pretty bad dude. And it always works. Because that’s just who he is.
No reason the films can’t be the same. Keep his movies R rated. Then throw him in another characters movie or an avengers movie and have him be more PG13. Lots of ...

In the games and books she’s an attractive female with black hair and violet eyes. I’d say they pretty much nailed it. So what her live action actor is a couple shades darker than the video game counterpart. She’s poised, sexy, confident and a little too power hungry for her own good. I think Anya Chalotra did a great job in the role.

Says some person who took it way too personally growing up. I’m a nerd/geek and proud of it. I like what I like and I’ll passionately talk about what I like. Nothing wrong with that.
Half the critics didn’t even watch every episode. They skipped ahead in parts and didn’t even bother trying to get invested in the world. It’s become one of those water cooler moments, like game of thrones or stranger things. Everyone I know has or is watching it. They know I’m already a fan so people keep asking me about it. That’s a good sign. And so far everyone I know really likes it. I’m glad it’s doing well with real viewers.
Yeah I agree. If by some small chance it’s not specifically made to get people riled up, it’s just a script some random wrote on their own for fun. People write scripts for fun all the time.
As a MASSIVE fan of the books and games, I gotta say they did a great job with the series. Best tv I’ve seen in a while. Everyone does a fantastic job in front and behind the camera.
The books are incredibly political. But the side stories and character development chapters were always the most interesting. So this is a good thing they are steering a little away from the politics. It will def be there considering what’s to come if they follow the books closely. But I like the character development and world building.
Still haven’t watched it. Some friends said it was “just okay” and some reviewers I generally share opinions with said about the same thing. Charismatic actors but shallow everywhere else. Might watch at some point but there’s so many other things I’ve heard good things about I still haven’t gotten to yet.
