Have you even seen it?
I agree. I was worried I was the only one thinking that. It looks like a fan film with a bigger budget.
In a word, no.
Yes I know be doing the FX so FX Director.
On June 30, 1993, Miramax was purchased for $60 million by The Walt Disney Company, which paved a way for Disney to enter the independent film market. Harvey and Bob Weinstein continued to operate Miramax until they left the company on September 30, 2005.

They sure are or were Touchstone is a Disney property and Disney did own the other two for a while and released R Rated content. Just Google R rated films released by Disney.
Yep. They spent 75 Billion to buy FOX and abandon all the R-Rated franchises they got in the process. Disney has released R-Rated content before. Just under Touchstone, Dimension, and Miramax.
I think its a case of tending. Sharknado is ending, The Shallows did well and this did much better than expected. "The Meg" will likely do better overseas than domestically but it should do well enough to show there is interest in more Shark films.
it does not even go to a page and all they post is spam like this.
How does this Spam keep getting approved?
The movie that made huge money and spawned a sequel? I bet DC and other studios wishes they could blunder like that.
The previous films did a pretty good job explaining all of this.
Pretty sure that is what The Meg is thinking.
Moot point. Her 4 films have made almost 4 billion at the box office. That is what matters to the studio. She makes money. Now if Episode 9 tanks, then you will see a change but her record so far has been one of big profits for the majority of her projects.
1st film over 1 Billion Dollars and huge Home Video Sales, Second film, same, third film, same. 4th film did not light things up but should still do ok once home video and other factors are accounted for. I would love to see the studio where if you said I will make you three 1 Billion Box Office earners and 1 that will make a small profit who would say nope, your gone.
JUst put up the comic book schedule as well.
They have another one I added to the thread on the target page.
It is like a Swim Cap in the water.
I think it comes down to money. I remember something abut him at first not being big on being in this film as he had concerns about all the FX and did not want to be in front of a Green Screen the entire time. Then I am sure he saw who was in the cast and of course, they likely upped their offer and he was more than happy to sign on. Films like this can be tricky as although they use mostly CGI vs a mechanical shark, you have to contend with weather which causes all kinds of delays and of cou...
Many would say his last film was good hence why we finally have this sequel.
