Venom exists and is driven solely by hate for spiderman....without this back story it simply isn't a venom movie. It's a horror movie aping a name to sell tickets. Imagine a movie called Marty McFly that doesn't include, mention, involve Doc Brown and only focuses on Marty's band. That is the level of nonsense this movie is. Sony already said no spiderman in this as well. So......people bashing me and others for questioning the obvious lack of logic in this movies directi...

Existential musings, what does it mean to be a God, how would a world receive you. Would the good guys see a living God as good? What to you is the definition of deep? Those questions I laid out above are all ideas tackled in this movie and in my personal opinion I consider them deep. So I ask again, what is deep to you and how does that definiton not fit with the above ideas?

I haven't commented on any of the negative responses people write because they all seem to be directors, actors, producers and writers themselves. One word comes to mind when I read your comment and foxtrot's, pretentious. If you and Foxtrot can do it so much better, then why didn't you? You bash everything about the movie, yet what have you written and directed? Please enlighten everyone else so we can evaluate your directing and writing abilities, because clearly you could ha...

You realize the whole show or any showor movie for that matter is artificial? Just say you didn't like the character development and the direction they chose. In trying to sound smart your point was lost becuase I couldn't get past the improper and illogical use of the word artificial.

to be fair, this story at some point has been done. Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman take on global threat. This is not high level story telling that requires thought and a large IQ. Through the comics and cartoons if you are or have been a fan, there was never going to be a story that surprised you. This is a live action take on a story that has been done many times, the essentials anyways. Unless you are new to the fan train, then it would be silly to say the movie gave away the plot....

Honestly, that story is what the over all arch of Desmond should have been. Ubi wanted to milk the franchise. I always thought the natural progression of the games was going to be a trilogy structure. The second game then would have been say around the advent of steam machines or maybe the civil war and such, then the third game would take part in the future with Desmond fully trained and bad ass with modern combat. That was what I envisioned when I completed the first game and I was sali...

You are entitled and think your tastes are the best, well they are not. Zod was a megalomaniac who saw humans as ants. His actions are directly in line with how someone like that would act. People just like to complain and hate on great directors. Snyder made Watchmen and people complained it was too close to the graphic novel, he made the movie that was said to be impossible. Peasants need to piss off and count their blessing someone like Snyder is on board.

You beat me to it. The media will make it appear as though there is hype. Sorry, I don't know a single person who is a fan of the original who is excited for this. The only friends faking interest are the ones who have wives that are now all of the sudden Ghosbusters fans BC McCarthy is in it. This is a movie for McCarthy fans, not Ghosbusters fans.

Imagine if they remade sister hood of traveling pants, but with all males and they basically made fun of females the whole movie. It would be called sexist, derogatory and unnecessary. I have a feeling that's what Ghostbusters will be yet it doesn't get any of the same legitimate criticisms levied at it because well females. Large male demographic from the 80's love this movie, hey let's put McCarthy's tired Shtick on film and make it all females completely alienating a...

It has nothing to do with feminism, so calm down. It has to do with the fact that a movie from the 80's which has a very large male demographic is being tailored to fit McCarthy's comedic talents, which while funny, from my experience is something females identify with and find funnier than their male counterparts. ie, they are ignoring the largest demographic of this movie and giving us the exact opposite of what we have wanted for many years. Look at it this way, would the movie ...

"The guy who tried to cut his wings off." Based on that statement it is very clear you have no idea about the source material. Apocalypse and Angel have quite the history. Also, Ben Foster reprising his role would be awesome because he is an amazing actor given a crap part in 3.

Collateral Damage, decent flick right before he became the Governor of California.

Blade was well done and does not belong on your list, he had three stand alone movies and the first one still beats a lot of other movies today (hokey CGI aside). I agree with your other character choices though.

This reviewer made up their mind before even seeing the movie. The one point I agree on is Smaug should have died in the second one, terrible editing choice. Also I think a 1 is really too harsh. One to me is terrible....well everything.

His indifference proves his power. It was as if a fly had gotten near his face and he couldn't be bothered with it. Or like a child throwing a tantrum and the parent ignoring the behavior instead of reinforcing it. Thanos does not need an explanation for his actions. If you know the comics just seeing him on screen is menacing enough because you already know who he is. If you are not knowledgeable though and have no idea what goes on in the comics I can see your point of view. I tho...

Just make an all female movie about paranormal investigators, why does Ghostbusters have to be dragged into this gang rape of a terrible idea. In other words, Feig, NO ONE WANTS THIS PIECE OF CRAP MADE. IT IS A TERRIBLE IDEA.

"The Bible" is a collection of creation myths, allegories and fables from ancient civilizations. Almost all major religions have a flood story as well as god or gods descending from heaven. The Bible was put together by a council well after Jesus had died. Stories told directly to the council about Jesus were left out because it didn't jive with their idea for a book that would control the masses. My point is that no ones knows for sure and this is one interpretation of the...

I have seen Blade Runner, Star Wars, 2001, Oblivion, Star Trek and pretty much anything else Sci-Fi that has come out since the 70's in movie form. I love Heinlein, Card, Asimov, Dick and have read the majority of their works. I also happen to find Prometheus entertaining. Therefore, your statement is unfounded and ridiculous. You are entitled to an opinion, but you can't possible logically explain why your opinion is better than another.
