No love for The Edge? That entire movie was about two men fighting off a blood thirsty bear.
Yes it is high, but I honestly could find almost no fault to the film.

Humor has been and always shall be a very subjective thing. I can't tell anyone what they should think is funny and vice versa so I understand where you are coming from in that respect. I just found the movie to be a whole lot of fun but that was my experience with it.

The Fugitive was very close to being on there. I was going back and forth between it and Witness. I honestly couldn't make up my mind between the two and am still kind of back and forth now even after committing to one of them, lol.
And yes, despite him portraying such legendary characters he has never been thought of as an outstanding actor. But when he finds a character that fits his style of acting it is usually movie magic.
I don't think Scorsese has every done a film quite like this. I am now eagerly awaiting this one.
After watching this trailer I can't say that it looks bad but I also don't think this will hold a candle towards the John Carpenter classic. The action seems a bit much, the actors/characters all appear rather boring (on first inspection mind you) and it just doesn't look all that scary.
If they can somehow pull off a miracle and make this work I will be impressed. I have an open mind and will still see it but I don't hold out much hope for this one.
Perhaps calling it a masterpiece is a bit of an overstatement but I was just floored by how well it was made and I love films of this type so there might have been some personal bias in there for me.
But I still hold my ground on this being one of the best films released this year.
While I cannot comment on the quality of the original cut I did take it into consideration when applying my score to it. If there is a better version out there then there wasn't any way I could give it a perfect score and with the deleted scenes they had on the disc I could see how it would have been a more complete movie with them retained.

I would agree with just about all that actually...except Blade cause that thing was pretty bad. I loved the first one and thought the second one had some cool stuff but man that third one was kinda not very good, Parker Posey was the villain...huh?
While I share you sentiments on The Nines I still found it to be a little more engaging for me than Adventureland (which I liked quite a bit as well I might add).

I absolutely love Zooey and I hope to God that Fox doesn't cancel this show like they do so many others. It is really good to see her take on such a different personality like this and it can only be seen as a good thing that we will now get weekly fixes of Zooey!
Sorry, but I didn't care for Wicker Park very much. I thought she did good in it but the movie itself was sub par in my opinion.

Agreed. If this set contains the original untouched non-special edition versions of the first trilogy then I will pick these up in a heartbeat. If not...well, I still got my laserdiscs I guess :)
I feel as though I need to explain just in case there are some people that don't get the joke. That review is done entirely in the style of the movie itself. Read my other reviews for a comparison.
