Whoa... this looks.... awful
Good picks! The Man Who Wasn't There is one of the best (I'm talking all-time)
Sacha is a method actor, he won't just play freddie, he will become freddie
I trust he'll be fantastic!
it looks like your copy paste is in working order
I'm sorry but with a 500k budget there is absolutely no excuse that your movie looks like it was shot on a Canon DSLR.
For god's sake 35mm film is pocket change at half a mil.
or just quit while your ahead like Gene Wilder
Oh Liam Neeson, where has thou career gone to?
the coens are far superior
but that' not to say fincher is bad, they are very different directors that make very different movies
Sacha Baron Cohen is my only reason to see this :(
what happened to classico Scorsese? What happened to the man that made Goodfellas, my favorite gangster movie? What happened to the man that made Casino, my favorite casino movie (naturally)?
In terms of digital, RED is the best (though i havent seen anything from alexa yet, so i cant speak for its competition). But a filmmaker should shoot on just that, film. If you have the budget to shoot on 35mm, then there really isn't an excuse. Of course in the indie ring, digital is really the ONLY way to go, but if you can afford it; film stock all the way.
Adam Sandler makes a LOT of bad movies, and if you've seen Funny People, you'll know he knows it.
but then again, every now and then he puts out a gem like Punch-Drunk Love, and to a lesser extent, Reign Over Me
In my opinion, Nolan should not be number one
maybe top 20, but not top dog
also, switch out John Lasseter with Pete Docter or Brad Bird
and the hell is Paul WS anderson on there for? the only Paul Anderson that should be on there is Paul Thomas Anderson
I happy how they worded the title
it is film watches "favorite"
nice and unbiased, just how it should be
on another note, Nolan is great, but not number one to me
my number one is shared between Kubrick and PT Anderson
with the coens and tarantino at number two
I think people pass Foxx off too easily...
anyone else remember Ray?
Is two face there?
Not in the sense that you mean...
This is No country for old villains
my favs from the list:
Paul Thomas Anderson
Christopher Nolan
Quentin Tarantino
Coen Brothers
and Guillermo Del Toro
Can't wait to see the biopic nor can I wait to see this!!
loved the book, and loved loved loved Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Justified rocks, bring on season 2 :D
My votes
Actress: Natalie Portman by FAR
Supporting Actress: Hailee Steinfeld, I was mesmerized by her in True Grit
Score: The social network
Makeup: The wolfman, as crappy as the movie was
Costume: Alice in Wonderland, again, crappy movie, but still
Animated Short: Day & night, there is no match to pixar's splendor
I've read a lot of Kip Thorne... it's a massive amount of theory, and very good source material for realistic (in... relativistic terms) sci-fi. I just hope they don't botch the whole wormhole plot device, it's easy to get that mode of theory very, very wrong - which is usually fine and forgivable, but if they're using Thorne, that's a fountain of accurate information that leaves little room for mistake.
Then again, Jonathan Nolan might just be inspire...
