I think the first Bond film my parents owned on VHS was one of his films. For Your Eyes Only, I think.
He played the part quite well for that era.
I don't think many will call it outright 'bad' per se, but terribly disappointing. Prometheus was a very dicey film but it did have high-minded concepts going for it. This one just totally disregards the semi-optimistic ending from before in favor of yet another Alien movie relying WAY too heavily on character stupidity and convenience. It does a disservice to Shaw as well.
Interesting. Still haven't caught up w/ it after Season 2 finale. Heard it's been pretty shaky since then.
I'm still hesitant to see just b/c I didn't care that much for Prometheus.

Ridiculous 6 was one of my biggest wastes of time in recent memory.
Probably one of the most fitting finales I could expect for him. In a way, this now makes every one of Sidious' apprentices out to be something of a tragic figure. Vader's the most obvious, but Dooku/Tyranus & Maul were also manipulated in ways that fit for that sort of character.
It's quite a shame, really. It had quite the uneven start (similar to Clone Wars) and doesn't even get the kind of breathing room Clone Wars had, which despite that was still cut short. Hopefully we'll be given something of a more proper conclusion here, instead of having to wait for some Lost Episodes.

Well, they already took his ship and gave it to some new ragtag crew in Star Wars: Rebels. Really not expected his return to canon to ever happen.
