The trailer for it seemed more like Fringe, but I wouldn't mind another Lost. I wish we didn't have a young Barbie as the "serious" lead though.
The best show on TV just ended :( If this doesn't win "best show" awards then something is terribly wrong... or fixed.
A lot of people are liking the recession is over, but it's still here... just slightly better than before. The way they have these summer blockbusters lined up most of us would be spending around $50 a month on sub-par movies (excluding First Class). Double that for us guys taking dates to the movies, no thanks.
I definitely agree that Hollywood tries to mask inferior products with CG and bigger budgets. Sometimes "average Joe" likes it, like in the case of the crappy Transformers movies and sometimes they don't. I don't think they're getting smarter though. If certain people are told to go see something the right way and many times, then they'll do it.
It's going to be so weird to watch any of the Lethal Weapon movies again due to Gibson. I wonder if he was calling Glover racial slurs in his head the whole time...
I don't want to spoil anything, even though everybody should have seen this by now. I'll simply say I agree with Simon's interpretation the most.
I'm still kinda hoping against an Ant Man movie, I can't see a live action version being good. Marvel screwed themselves with the Norton situation no matter who they cast.
I think it'll make a little head room for the "smart summer blockbuster". Something that The Dark Knight also helped with. I'd expect to see at least one per summer in 2012 and after.
I don't like Jovovich in the RE movies that much, but other than her it's a great list. I forgot how hot Sigourney Weaver used to be lol.
This is the only year I can think of where the winter/spring movies were better than the summer ones. It started off great then went straight into the toilet, but at least we have Inception.
He's definitely a shining light in a dark field. We need less Michael Bays/James Camerons and more people like Nolan who can create an inventive, original, and complex story without it being convoluted or pretentious.
I would probably take A Scanner Darkly off and add Southland Tales (even though it sucks).
Bringing Bana back or going with Guy Pearce are my two favorites. I'm tired of hearing about Copley, District 9 was overrated and I doubt he can stand against Downey's or even Evans' screen presence.
Smallville is a blockbuster? lol.
I'd like to see more Tom Hanks movies, it seems like he's taken a break lately. I look at Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, and (unfortunately) Eddie Murphy as has-beens.
I wouldn't count Lost as sci-fi, since it's a 90% fantasy and 10% sci-fi mixture. However, if I had to, then it would be number one. Sliders being in the top 10 is funny, but it being better than Lost makes me LMAO.
I agree with the list... besides Funny People. I like first half better because it was serious, then it became a romantic comedy, which is lame.
