March Contest Details

JL|4444d ago |Blog Post|16|

Oscar season is behind us and we're on the doorstep of spring. That means "spring cleaning" is just around the corner. Here at Filmwatch, we're going to put a more fun spin on spring cleaning, though. I know most of you, if you're anything like me, have a seemingly never dwindling list of backlog movies you want to pick up. This is especially true for those oh so enticing, yet oh so expensive box sets. So this month, we're giving you a chance to do a little spring cleaning with your "I Want" list and knock a few items off of there.

COMMENT LOTTERY:
I'm sure most of you know basically how this works. For those of you that don't, allow me to explain. Simply make 50 comments on Filmwatch in the month of March and you'll be entered to win our grand prize. At the end of the month, the winner will be chosen at random.

Our grand prize this month: box sets. With all the cool box sets that have come out over the past year (and the limited number we've given away), I wanted to give others a chance to pick them up. So, the winner of the lottery will be entitled to a cool Blu-ray box set of their choice (from the list below):
1. Alien Anthology
2. Back to the Future Trilogy
3. The Bourne Trilogy
4. Harry Potter All 8 Years
5. Jurassic Park Trilogy
6. Lord of the Rings Trilogy
7. Matrix Trilogy
8. Star Wars Saga
8. Superman Anthology
10. Toy Story Trilogy

Again, the winner of the lottery will be entitled to ONE of those. I think there's a nice mix there, so should be something for everyone.

COMMENT CONTEST:
If you're not drawn as the winner, don't worry, your efforts will not be in vain. The top 3 commenters (those with the most comments) will still walk away with prizes.
1st Place: Season of a TV Show of your choice (up to $40 value)
2nd Place: DVD or Blu-ray movie of your choice
3rd Place: DVD or Blu-ray movie of your choice

CONTRIBUTOR CONTEST:
We'll be giving away two prizes here. The person with the highest news score at the end of the month will also get to choose one Blu-ray box set of their choice from the list above (same as the comment lottery). The member with the second highest news score will walk away with a $50 Amazon Gift Card. So, to sum up:
1st: Blu-ray Box Set
2nd: $50 Gift Card

So there you have it. Have fun people and get busy for your chance to win some cool prizes.

1. Only one prize per member. In the event that a member is eligible for multiple prizes, said member will be awarded the one prize of the highest value.
2. DVD prizes are for standard movies only. Box sets, special collector's editions or seasons of TV shows are not allowed unless otherwise stated.
3. Competition is open to all FilmWatch users, except for employees of HAVAmedia and immediate relatives. Contests are not limited to the US/NA.
4. In the event of unforeseen circumstances FilmWatch/HAVAmedia reserves the right to substitute the prizes for alternatives of equal or greater value.
5. Spamming of comments, heat altering or cheating of any nature will result in disqualification from all contests for the month.
6. Prizes are not transferrable.
7. The winners of the competition will be notified by PM here on FilmWatch.
8. Failure to reply to PM notification within fourteen (14) days results in forfeiture of prize.

Great prizes! I'd love to win that alien anthology, I've only see the first one

I have that box set...twice actually. One in DVD and then I won the BluRay set here last year. It's an awesome set and the transfer to Bluray is super sharp.

Im looking to win that Harry Potter set, I've waited on buying any films until the last one was released. I knew they'd make a big set of them all together.
