After they have basically recognized the problems with their third party showcase and the far more positive reaction to the PS5 event, I'm assuming they're going to come out guns blazing.

This is Xbox last chance no more talking crap about wait till next year! Show your games now and make sure they are good top AAA, not this garbage AA crap we been getting the past 5 years apart from Ori & Forza horizon games. Show us what your new studios are capable of.

It seems that for some of you it is a life and death matter that this show needs to be the best one ever seen by human eyes.

I am not a MS fan, but even so it may be a little excessive to judge their work entirely on this kind of events before launch and any kind of third party review of their product.

About 5 months to go til we have both systems out.

I'm beyond excited! If Xbox pulls this off, it will be a great way to set the tone for the generation ahead. Keep the extra personnel to a minimum...key figures only outside of developers talking about their games. Keep it SX centric but give nods to the bigger gaming picture like XGP and xCloud. Give targets on what the games are running at and show more gameplay segments. Excite your fanbase first and we will get everyone else excited...however, do NOT try to appeal to those outside your fanbase by showing a bunch of obscure games just to try to appear like youre being different... that would only upset your fanbase...play to its strengths instead.

Slip Space must impress. Halo Nation must be impressed. If Halo Infinite cant impress with a new engine, a huge budget and 5 years of development time, why would anyone think any other XGS can??? A LOT riding on it. Good luck 343, Team Xbox and Microsoft. We cheering you on!

Looking forward to it, and to finally hear some real information on Halo Infinite. I'm afraid the title alone means the game is straying far away from the predecessors, possibly as an online only (Fortnite monetization strategy) game. I hope I'm wrong!

July 23rd. We get our first REAL look at next gen. 20 bucks says games looker better than new horizons zero dawn on ps5. And more games at 60fps. Xbox is doing next gen proper.

I’m hyped for Xbox. But not biased. I’ll admit if I was disappointed. Same as ps5 I was 100% set I’d get ps5 first next gen heading into the ps5 reveal. The. I was so disappointed now I’m getting series x first. I hope Xbox doesn’t disappoint like Sony did (for me).

I hope x box understands that we want normal games and Almost no one cares about for forza or sport games

I think it will be the best thing ever in Xbox fans eyes and good overall outside of it and they will have a couple games outside of Xbox type games that will appeal to others . They haven’t been releasing much at all for for the past few years to prepare for this new launch . I’d be surprised if they failed the launch but if they have enough to appeal to non Xbox people is to be seen, they will have a couple games probably . Now will they support the middle and end of the generation with variety and quality ? I’m not sold on that at all . It all depends on how much money they are making and what the focus is at that time . They have nowhere to go but up and they stopped full support of XB1 years ago and just released sparse stuff so they should have plenty to show for launch, they do this every gen. After launch is where most people are going to be skeptical and why many will wait until later to see what Xbox is doing . I’ll make an assessment year 3-5

dont set yourselfs up for dissapointment. they wont show all cards why would they? the xbox division doesnt look at n4g and decides if we do this and show this many n4g users can have things to talk about

At the end of the day gamers have to ask themselves whether the launch lineup of games is worth shelling out the probable $499 for console, $100-200 in accessories, and possibly $70 games.

After the PS5 event I didn't feel the need to go out and pre-order a PS5 because for launch it looks like the highlight game is essentially a next story spider-man game. Given that it is only two years since the previous game this game probably won't offer much new. Yes, spider-man is good and lots of great games coming down the pipe but launch really doesn't have much to convince me yet... I am sure there is more to come, but unless there is something amazing I am waiting on PS5.

For XSX I still haven't been convinced I need to get a launch console either. This event will probably flip the decision either way. I know Halo will be good, but to me to push me over the launch cliff I would need Forza Motorsports or the rumored Fable game at launch. Forza Motorsports has been quiet since 2017 so three years is long enough to develop a truly next gen Forza Motorsports. Fable has been rumored for about 3 years as well, but I am not sure they could get the game from scratch for this year's launch.

Regardless, I can wait a year when there are more games and the price comes down $100 if there is nothing insane to convince me.

Hopefully we get a good variety of system selling titles and not just the same Halo, Gears and Forza stuff....

I'm keeping expectations low after their previous disaster of an event. They're going to have to have a flawless show.

And I bet after this event people will say wait until the next event.

I'm prepared.....to be disappointed again. Maybe they might surprise me. I really doubt it. I'll watch but I really don't think Spencer, Greenberg and Major know what they are doing. I think its time to pass the baton to a younger crew.

Can't wait! As a Playstation guy, I'm really excited to see what Microsoft will bring to the table in terms of great games. Great exclusives raise the level of competition, they make Sony fight harder, and they make gaming better for everyone.

That being said, however, I really do hope Microsoft reveals that they are dropping the first 2 years of no Series X Exclusives. Next gen exclusives are what make the gaming industry go around.

1. I hope its not a slew of FPS.

2. I hope there are console exclusives.

If they can manage the above then I'll finally have my first Xbox.
