10hrs each - that's a good length for me, I don't have the time or patience anymore for games that just go on forever.

UltraNova1919d ago

Yeah tell.me about it, I'm still trying to finish RDR2 (Epilogue part 2)...I'm so ready to take a break from open world games...

As much as I enjoyed RDR2 I thought it was abit too long during the main six chapters. I almost didn't finish the epilogue because of the that. Not got gonna the epilogue were kind of boring as well.

ssmilloy361918d ago

I suffered from open world fatigue and purchased bloodborne. goat

You and me both! I’m grinding my way through God Of War, Spider Man, Detroit and RDR2. When I play a lot of online multiplayer shooters as well, hard to beat these games!

ArchangelMike1919d ago

Truth be told, if I were to focus on clearing my backlog, I wouldn't actually have time left to play new games. FFXV, Titanfall 2, Watchdogs 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Batman Arkham Knight, Divinity Original Sin... and the list goes on and on... all just sitting on my shelf waiting to be completed... 0.o

Sometimes I wonder if I'm just more of a games collector these days :D

SlagWolf1919d ago

I don’t mind long games if they are packed with fun stuff to do but for this kind of game RE2 is Just perfect at around the 10 hour mark to finish

pietro12121919d ago

ArchangelMike
I feel the same way. It's not that I don't enjoy gaming anymore it's just that I don't have as much time as I use to. I just end up building a epic backlog of games. haha

Livingthedream1918d ago

Same here took me over 2 years to finish witcher 3 lol, and I'm slowly getting through rdr2

pietro12121918d ago

Same here. I just finished up Witcher 3 last year. Hell of a game I really enjoyed it, but man did I take my sweet time. lol

No open world no crafting no buy. Il stick with Witcher 3 PC

/sc

Tried the demo its a proper resident evil but pc performance was a little erattic hope that's an older build

Exvalos1919d ago

Witcher 3 is the game of this generation period

SCW19821919d ago

You accidentally put Witcher 3 instead of Bloodborne for game of the generation.

Marioraider181919d ago

I found Witcher 3 to be boring.. and yes I beat the main story line. The only thing that I enjoyed was small parts of the storyline and Gwent. Thats all

ISHU1919d ago

Same. Absolutely love that game. Man it kinda makes me go back and play it again XD

Jared25001919d ago

The game of our generation is called Silent Hills. And it’s dead

TheKingKratos1919d ago

Mine is God of war and Bloodborne

You accidentally put Bloodborne instead of Horizon Zero Dawn for game of the generation.

HZD seriously ? game of the generation ? seriousy ??

SERIOUSLY

_FantasmA_1919d ago (Edited 1919d ago )

HeisenbergX

Yeah, seriously. What's wrong with that? It surpassed the hype for me. I knew it was going to be good, but other reviewers said it took bits an pieces from other games, but that it wasn't really unique. I disagree. It feels fresh to me. I wasn't expecting it to be this good. I'm not even close to finishing it. I've done like maybe 3 story missions and I've been leveling up just off side missions, errands, hunting etc. If I can say that just playing it for 4 weeks makes it the game of the generation for me than yes it's that good. My favorite game of all time is the original Dues Ex and I only got about halfway through the game when I declared that.

If I'm "wrong" can you please tell me what the correct answer for the game of the generation is so I can change my mind and align my views with yours?

HeisenbergX1919d ago

Sorry man i shouldn't have overreacted like that i know it's your opinion.. i just don't think that highly about HZD like some people here i liked it enough i thought it was fine.. the next one will be much better and i can't wait for it.

The way i can describe my experience with HZD is like this.. it's a great game but a kinda mediocre open world game.

ScootaKuH1919d ago

You accidentally put Horizon for game of the generation instead of God of War.

It's ok, we knew what you meant

_FantasmA_1918d ago (Edited 1918d ago )

God of War was good, but too monotonous. GoWIII was okay, but too linear and kind of shallow and monotonous as well. The combat isn't as deep as Ninja Gaiden Black. The bosses were kind of lame. They needed to be more epic. And Kratos' constant anger gets old really fast. It was hard for me feel drawn into the game when this dude is pissed and yells 110% of his time. GoW4 is much better than 3 and I'm glad they have more exploration and less linearity, but the pacing and combat is bit too slow and the game just doesn't make me care about the characters. I really don't feel anything for Kratos, much less Atreus who seems to be invincible. How am I supposed to care about some kid who's getting jumped by multiple enemies but never gets hurt, but Kratos can die from 2 hits?

I only played up to the first realm after you use the Bifrost. I am planning on buying the game later on when it's on sale.
