Johnny Depp Meets Navajo Leaders as Tonto

ET:
Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer held a meet-and-greet with Navajo Nation leaders on the set of The Lone Ranger, receiving special good will gifts and posing for photographs. Check 'em out.

Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly and Vice President Rex Lee Jim met with the stars, along with producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, and presented them with four Pendleton blankets as a good-will gesture on behalf of the Navajo Nation.

Depp "was very gracious and respectful, along with very patient with picture taking," President Shelly told ET, adding, "It was a great honor and privilege to meet Johnny Depp and filmmaker Jerry Bruckheimer. We are honored the movie The Lone Ranger is being filmed here on the Navajo Nation. The Navajo Nation has beautiful landscape and we are glad it is being shared through filmmaking."

I don't remember Tonto having on all that paint on his face but I also know how Depp is and that they were going to put a lighter side to this story so I guess it's okay too. I'll make my final jugdement after I see it because I wouldn't miss this movie for anything.
