Heartbreak in all of its wailing messiness is captured yet never felt in Terence Davies suitably titled The Deep Blue Sea.
Rachael Weisz wants passion and affection, but can't seem to find both qualities in the same man in this adaptation of a British play by Terrence Rattigan.
One wishes the filmmakers would give more of an incentive to watch, apart from an easily understood relationship problem; so innately simple it speaks fluently in the language of melodrama.
