Project-blu writes: The Darkest Hour didn’t deliver anything new for a sci-fi alien invasion. The 3D is average and nothing near demo material. It’s nothing near the worst movie I have seen but I can’t recommend a purchase at all. It’s a movie I could say is possibly worth a one-time watch and that may be stretching it a bit. The characters never developed to me and I can’t see viewers attaching to any so when people die-off, no one will really care. I also don’t understand the separate 2D disc when the 2D version is also on the 3D disc. Very confusing strategy by Summit to release the 2D version on two separate discs.
