Buffy the Vampire Slayer freaking kicked ass. This is what the movie should have been all along. A strong and beautiful female lead. A good sense of horror and dread mixed in with humor and angst. A great and complimentary supporting cast. This is what the movie should have been. That first episode of Buffy was pure teen and horror genius. I have never been so glad to have been proven wrong and pleasently surprised at the same time."

I know exactly what you mean. The movie was awful but once you're exposed to the tv series...it's a whole different story. I just don't even think of the movie anymore.
