The Hunger Games is the latest young adult novel to receive the big screen treatment. The other two books in the series are also destined for the big screen, with the last one (Mocking Jay) receiving the two-part treatment. Before this weekend it seemed silly that they already had four movies planned. Then the numbers came out, The Hunger Games trumped everyone's expectations, grossing an impressive $155 million in its opening weekend. Well, it looks like we have another Twilight on our hands, right? Wrong, there are no sparkly vampires in The Hunger Games, and it’s actually good.
