I thought I had heard a few months ago that he had been asked to do another show but I couldn't remember which one. This explains his very expected and welcome death last night on Walking Dead.

I was saying it a while ago when the rumor first came up, but I don't remember seeing any news stories about it.

Actually he was expected to die because he died in the comics....

He should have died awhile ago.

Speaking of which, I love AMC Walking Dead but Kirkman really needs to enforce the story from the comics.

Why the hell didn't Carl kill Shane? That was a very important moment. The same guy that shows him how to use his firearm is the same that gets shot.

I hear the Mayor would be there next season, but with all that happens in the prison before the mayor how the heck is that even possible unless they cut a bunch from the main arc.

I don't know, but when you take a loved story (like the comic) and start betraying the base story too often you really put off the reason the story was popular to begin with.

I admit, most of it is similar or the same. I am not necessarily a purist, but as I said there is reasons why fans were waiting for this show and it was because we wanted to see a live version of the comic. At this point the comic becomes the storyboard and the fans want to see how it pans out.

Kirkman is easily one of the best writers in the comic world (and on his own too) from Battle Pope to Walking Dead to Invincible I love them all.

Just don't stray too far from the originals, Kirkman. Shane should have died from Carl.

In fact if you are not going to follow the comic anymore just let us know so we can choose to care about it or not.

given how easily faithful the serie already is , that it was more a matter of Kirkman using the opportunity to retell his own story , than some usual hollywood adaptation BS

This is good news, I thought it was confirmed already. I just hope he is a lasting character in this one and doesn't end up dying again lol....he is a really good actor. He is serious in The Walking Dead, but was more lively and funny in The Pacific.

The show itself already sounds appealing to me and now im watching it for sure.

alycakes4420d ago

Yes...I can too since it's on TNT. Most of the shows that TNT presents are pretty good so I'll be watching..we'll have to wait and see if he's a good guy or a bad guy in this one.

FUUUUUUCCKKKK why did I read this article before seeing the latest episode of walking dead.. talk about huge spoiler :(

JohnnyMann4204419d ago (Edited 4419d ago )

Everyone knows Shane is dead. Want to read it the real way buy the trade comics. It is basically the story board from the show but actually done a little better in a lot of ways. Shane dying is not a spoiler. I could tell you a spoiler that would break your heart.

Shane died pretty early in the comics. He would have died back at the camping scene almost the same way.

In the comics Carl shoots Shane because Shane was on Rick strangling him. I think it made way more sense and was done so well. Rick and Carl kept it a secret.

Not everyone reads comics or this comic book specifically. I would bet a majority of the viewers haven't read the comic, so yes it is a spoiler. There's no need to be condescending just because you've read them and assume everyone else should have.

Sucks bro, I thought last weeks episode was epic.
