Topher Grace Edited The ‘Star Wars’ Prequels Into One 85-Minute Movie and We Saw It

/Film says

Last month I received a cryptic e-mail inviting me to a private screening of a new Star Wars film edited by Topher Grace — which is funny because I had no idea there was a new Star Wars film in the works, with or without Grace’s involvement. I was told the screening was a secret private event arranged only for friends only and was asked not to talk about it beforehand. The event was held somewhere in the Hollywood area in a a screening room filled with filmmakers, editors, actors, actresses and only a few press friends. I was told I could blog about it afterwards if I wanted, so here goes…

Clearly that was a labor of love by Topher because that's alot of movie to cover and cut down. That certainly sounds interesting.

not like hes doing much else these days lol

That is rather neat, i'd love to see it. It seems like he basically took out the depth of star Wars though and simply told the story of Anakin instead.

It is a bit funny that he did this after That 70s Show where Eric liked Star Wars lol

The prequel trilogy is crappy in my opinion. Editing out a lot of the crappy dialogue and pointless romance scenes would only be an improvement.

I don't think he took out the "romance" at all, but made it stronger. Based on what these guys were saying.

I think, like I said, he took out anything and everything that wasn't revolving around Anakin himself, and found extra footage to make it even stronger.

a lot of people say that the prequel trilogy was really bad but i disagree because the third installment can stand with the original trilogy. i admit the first two installments of the prequel really lacked what made star wars famous, maybe they can cram up with the first two but episode 3 was already fantastic for me and is even better than episode 6.

Topher Grace's 'Star Wars: Always' Mega-trailer is a Brilliant and Moving Summary of all 10 Films

SWT: Actor Topher Grace and a buddy spent their weekend stitching together a mega-trailer that ties all of the 10 available Star Wars films together in one epic cut, and it’s easily one of the most brilliant homages to the Star Wars franchise I’ve ever seen. I mean it’s a damn near spiritual experience to take in. I smiled, I cried, I got pumped up, and basically experienced every emotion I’ve ever had while watching each movie in a standalone capacity over the past 38 years of my life.
