Kathryn Bigelow's Hunt For Bin Laden Pic Gets Working Title 'Zero Dark Thirty'

Deadline:
Members of the right wing Vishwa Hindu Parishad group stormed the set of Kathryn Bigelow’s hunt for Osama Bin Laden film in the Indian city of Chandigarh today, protesting the portrayal of Muslim culture in India, according to reports. Bigelow’s crew had been shooting there for 4 days although the director is understood not to have been on set during the unrest. Bin Laden was killed by a Navy Seal team in Abbottabad, Pakistan last year, but unable to shoot there, the Sony Pictures and Annapurna Pictures film is instead using Chandigarh as a stand-in for Lahore – and the Hindu radicals are against the filmmakers portraying their sworn enemy Pakistan on Indian soil. (Since 1947, Muslim Pakistan and predominantly Hindu India have fought 3 wars and remain wary of one another.) That was a big change on a title from Kill Bin Laden to Zero Dark Thirty? That doesn't make any sense to me but there must be a reason for it.

DarkBlood4430d ago

probably to lessen the blow by changing the title as certain people are going to *excuse the language* bitch about it and try to get it banned consider almost anyone who are of the same *no offense to anybody* race as he is if you know what i mean

alycakes4430d ago

Yeah..you're probably right.

TBH,most of Arabs won't care for the movie or the title.Because most people here knows that the Americans are kidding themselves.Bin Laden is not considered a hero among the Muslims or anything. It's known that he was working with the US government and that 11/9 incident was most likely an inside job.He was just a scapegoat.Do you know that US trained him, funded and supported him way back in the 80s ?!

thats interesting, but even so that wont stop the lesser minded uninformed people from complaining in some form or another

hell thats always expected nowdays anyway
