Suzanne Collins Saw Hunger Games, Here's What She Thinks

HungerGamesMovie:
Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins saw the movie! She just sent out the following note to fans via Facebook:

I’ve just had the opportunity to see the finished film of The Hunger Games. I’m really happy with how it turned out. I feel like the book and the film are individual yet complementary pieces that enhance one another. The film opens up the world beyond Katniss’ point of view, allowing the audience access to the happenings of places like the Hunger Games control room and President Snow’s rose garden, thereby adding a new dimension to the story.

Well, it's just about here and I know I'm going to be there first thing...I don't know if my husband will join me or not for that day but whether he does or not I'll be seeing it...then I can see it with him, then with my sister, then with my girlfriend, and then I might even try it again with somebody else...who knows.

I very rarely go and see a movie on opening day, if ever. But I do plan on probably going to see this the first Monday it's in theaters. I think this is one me and the gf would both really enjoy and I'm getting more and more hyped about it.

The opening day isn't bad in March because kids are still in school and the first feature is usually around 11am or so. There's usually enough adults to where you know some took off work and some just aren't working but it doesn't fill the theater....where I go it's really nice.

Friday premiers are the pits. I like going to the first showing of a Monday, during school days/hours. n_n

Good to know the movie has the author's blessing.
