THR:
Chris Weitz is in negotiations to rewrite Cinderella, Disney’s live action take on the classic fairy tale that has Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go) attached to direct. Simon Kinberg is producing.
The Cinderella project was first set up at Disney in May 2010 in the wake of the studio’s success with Alice in Wonderland, the live-action adaptation of the Lewis C. Carroll book that starred Johnny Depp. Devil Wear Prada scribe Aline Brosh McKenna was behind the pitch and wrote the initial draft.
Nekki has announced that the forthcoming gun fu game, SPINE, will receive a movie adaptation to expand the franchise.
Anthracite Review: This Netflix thriller makes us go down several engaging roads and the twists and turns are delicious.
Stolen Review: Elle Márjá Eira makes an attempt at creating a story revolving Sámi people of Sweden.
Another fairy tale...but Cinderella was a beautiful story too and I actually liked the movie Cinderfella with Jerry Lewis in it. It took a different twist to it and it was a good but different look at the fairy tale.
Since they seem determined to make all of these movies they might as well get someone good to do them.
