It’s violent, dark and offers more than one reprehensible character. But at Bullhead‘s center is one man that’s flawed, damaged and crazy by most standards, but he’s just really misunderstood. Bullhead Blu-ray Review - WGTC

Jeremy of We Got This Covered wrote, "Bullhead was nominated for Best Foreign Film at the last Academy Awards and while it did not win the award on the stage it won the award in my mind. Michael R. Roskam‘s gritty tale of irreversible destiny is promising filmmaking from a new director and it also consists of one of the most vulnerable and sincere performances in recent memories by actor Matthias Schoenaerts. I doubt Bullhead will be for everyone, but those that discover this foreign gem will be glad that they did."

New to the distribution arena, Alamo Drafthouse co-founder Tim League became enamored of a small Belgian crime drama called Bullhead at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. Less than a year later, he and his Drafthouse Films operation have an Oscar contender on their hands. Not too shabby for a company younger than the Obama administration.

Well...this is news for a small filming company and I hope they continue to do well and maybe they might win...there have been some surprises at the Oscars at times...you never know.
