Some good movies on this list, but not really what I was hoping for going into it. For one, some of these are mediocre (of course it does point that out). But secondly, some of these aren't even overlooked movies. I expected to see lots of hidden gems here, but almost half are fairly known movies.

The biggest one probably: Scott Pilgrim? Seriously? I'd hardly call that overlooked. That had plenty of publicity/hype behind it and even had a video game to accompany it. I'd hardly call that overlooked.

Then you have movies like The American, Jarhead, Stranger Than Fiction, etc. that are headlined by high-profile names are were fairly major releases. Top that off with a huge cult hit: American Psycho. Add in another from a cult director, Aronofsky (The Fountain). Then, quite a few of these were Oscar nominees and/or winners (ie Sideways, Assasination of Jesse James, The Triplets, Encounters at the End of the World, etc). I'd hardly call movies that get nominated (or even won) on the biggest stage of them all to be overlooked.

is not that they are overlooked is just that for some reason the one who submitted the article changed the tittle.

Scott Pilgrim was at Comic Con the year before it came out and it got a lot of publicity and I thought everyone went to see was a great movie.....not overlooked at all.

American Psycho is such a weird movie.

The Machinist should be on the list.

I was starting to prepare my disappointment with this list, but then it hit me with 3 of my all-time favorite movies of this past decade, back-to-back-to-back.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
The Fountain.
