The Playlist:
You'll be getting our review from the Berlin Film Festival on "Bel Ami" soon, but until then, the jury is still out on the latest non-"Twilight" venture for Robert Pattinson, one that finds him scruffing up his tween sweetheart image to play a character that he describes as "a shit."
Right now, it sucks to be an RPatz fan in North America because this movie is still without a release date, but for all you Edward fans in the U.K., the wait is nearly over. With the film headed to theaters next month, a new TV spot with brief bits of new footage and a handful of images are here to tide you over until opening day. As you already know, the film is based on the book by Guy de Maupassant, co-stars Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci, and will find Pattinson playing George Duroy, an opportunistic social climber in turn-of-the-century Paris, who seduces his way to wealth and fame from a poor beginning. Basically, women are just different rungs on the ladder on his way the top. (The cad!)
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
This movie is different for Pattinson. I don't know that I would go see it. I didn't see Water for Elephants. I just couldn't see the connection of Pattinson and Witherspoon on the screen. I'm sure the story was fine but it just wasn't my type of movie.
