Russell Crowe Being Eyed For MGM's 'RoboCop' Reboot

Oh, the trades. In their eternal pissing match to shout "first!" or "toldja!" some irritating practices have come into play of late which finds them making sure they toss every little morsel of info they have out there -- even it means burying it in other stories -- or hitting Twitter with their "news," all so they can trumpet that they were there before everyone else. At any rate, it seems Jeff Sneider at Variety was feeling a little burned that Deadline got the news that Liam Neeson and Russell Crowe were being eyed for Darren Aronofsky's "Noah" so late last night he tweeted that the latter was also in the mix for a big franchise reboot.

It's not like these guys are really old or something like that....he's still a good actor and it really doesn't say how he'd be involved if he was to be in the movie to begin with.

I guess with all these new upcoming stars sometimes we forget about the ones that have already been around for a while.

Meh...I like Russell Crowe and all, but I don't think this would be a good role for him. He just doesn't seem to fit the part. Fassbender is still a good choice though.

I guess it really doesn't matter considering that you're only going to see him for about the first 30 minutes of the movie maybe less, then he's going to be behind all that medal.
