Paramount Pictures has acquired worldwide distribution rights to Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away, the 3D feature that Shrek and The Chronicles of Narnia helmer Andrew Adamson wrote and is directing, with James Cameron exec producing and spearheading the 3D. Deadline broke the story that Adamson and Cameron were teaming with Cirque du Soleil in late 2010 on a 3D film.

I have seen a performance of one of the Cirque Du Soleil in a huge performance hall and it is undeniably one of the most beautiful and best theatrical on stage shows I've ever seen. It just takes your breath away....what they can do!
I don't like 3D but I have to say that with this type of performance I think it would enhance the experience...I might be tempted to go see it.
