IGN - Steven Spielberg directs War Horse from a screenplay co-written by Pirate Radio's Richard Curtis based on Michael Morpurgo's book and the recent hit stage play. The film chronicles the bond between a horse named Joey and Albert Narracott (Jeremy Irvine) who trains him. Albert is a farmboy in rural England whose hardscrabble parents (Peter Mullan and Emily Watson) are deeply in debt to a cold, affluent landlord (David Thewlis). The Narracotts' struggle to hold onto their farm dovetails with the outbreak of World War I, which sees Joey taken away by the British cavalry. The heartbroken Albert vows to one day find Joey and bring him back home.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
