Digital Home says
The CRTC today approved an application by Bell Media for a new national English language Category B specialty television channel called SuperHero.
Category B channels are stations licensed by the CRTC to broadcast within defined formats but are not guaranteed cable or satellite television carriage rights.
In its application, Bell said the new station would offer programming from international markets featuring the latest trends in non-violent action, adventure, superheroes, comedy and interactivity. The station would also offer magazine shows that “cover current comic book trends and the classics.”
