MovieFone - On Dec. 6, 1967 in Flushing, New York, Judd Apatow was born to parents Maury Apatow and Tami Shad. 44 years later, after childhood that saw him grow up in Syosset on Long Island, Apatow is one of comedy's premiere voices -- a writer, director and producer responsible for launching the careers of Jason Segel, James Franco, Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen. Not bad! On Twitter, Apatow said he was planning to celebrate his birthday by taking in two films, 'Young Adult' and 'The Artist,' but here at Moviefone HQ, you can honor Apatow's birthday the best way possible: by recalling your favorite Apatovian screen moments.

I’ve often wondered why the name Garry Shandling sparks a near-worshipful reverence from his fellow comedians. Within the profession, Shandling is regarded as a trailblazer, but also as someone who reached back to help the careers of his fellow artists.

Trainwreck and Girls triple-threat Judd Apatow is presenting the off-Broadway debut of Chris Gethard: Career Suicide, an edge-of-the-envelope pushing comedy written and performed by the stand-up comedian. The show initially was presented in New York at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and developed at other venues including, most recently, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It ranges across subjects from depression and alcoholism to suicide as the comedian “dives into his experiences with mental illness, ethically questionable psychiatry and finding hope in weird places,” according to a spokesman for the show, “a painfully honest journey into the mind of one of the most original and exciting comics at work today.”

Directors Judd Apatow and Mike Birbiglia have called out the MPAA ratings board for giving Suicide Squad a PG-13 while Don't Think Twice got an R.
I can care less about the rating, I saw the movie last night and I freaking enjoyed the hell out if it. Great movie with a team of villains. Harley Quinn on the big screen! Finally! She played the part perfectly, and The Joker was amazing. The laugh, his voice, all bring you back to the DC animated movies. DC hit a home run IMO with Suicide Squad.
It was a shit jumbled up mess, the Joker is terrible. Harley was good but all in all it was just crap. It was hella predictable, and the main villians were a freaking joke, the way they got taken out was just so stupid and begs the question as to why the military couldn't have taken care of them.
