The studio behind the Harry Potter and Batman franchises is banking on Lego being their next big movie tentpole.
Variety reports that Warner Bros. has greenlit a hybrid live-action/animated feature film based on the building blocks.
Australian-based firm Animal Logic (Happy Feet, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole) will handle the animation for the film, which the trade says will be 80% animation and is slated for a 2014 release.

I LOVE LEGO!!!
My daughter is fast approaching the age where she'll appreciate LEGO and I'm jacked for it. On the note of the movie being a hybrid animated/Live Action idea, I think I'd prefer to see it in just an animated format.
