The Genetic Opera and a remake of the Charles Kaufman classic Mother’s Day. Now, he tackles a once-in-a-lifetime date in his latest film, 11-11-11, releasing today. Now, how a date can be the sole basis for a horror film’s plot is beyond me, but that’s the concept Bousman rolled with."

The theatrical trailer for the horror film 11-11-11 has been unveiled. From Saw II director Darren Lynn Bousman, the pic tells the story of how at 11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month, the 11th gate of Heaven will open up and an otherworldly entity will enter the earthly realm for 49 minutes. Judging from the trailer, some demon-like thingy and some other creepy beings will bring about absolute terror for the duration of the film. While I’m not entirely sold on the project, I do like that it appears to rely heavily on prosthetics and make-up as opposed to CGI effects.
