He says he created the new story focusing on Nancy Callahan in order to tie things together with the first Sin City movie. He also said he is just finishing up the script and expects filming to start in the spring.

This will be good. Her character on the first one was one of the best because they showed her from when she was a little girl until she grew up. It will be interesting to see what they do with her now...I'm really looking forward to this movie.
