Top 5 Scary Movies You (Probably) Haven't Seen

LargeMarge67 "Gather ‘round, boys and girls, and let your old Uncle Marge drop some knowledge on ya. Come on, don’t be nervous…be afraid. Be very afraid! Muhahahahahaha!!! Oh, I’m just joshin’ ya. But seriously, a name like Uncle Marge should at least make you a little tense. Take a deep breath and relax. I’m here to help. Every year, during October, I like to cozy up with my ghoulfriend, turn out all the lights and watch some of my favorite films in the horror genre. These movies are the type you will never find anywhere on television, but all of them are on DVD and a few can be seen on YouTube in their entirety. That’s right, so you have no excuses."

I have seen alot of movies in my time. But nothing has impressed me more than Salem's Lot (1979). That movie scared the sh*t out of me. I love the mood and the characters. The remake was horrible.

I remember Salem's Lot scared the living crap out of me.

I found nothing scary about Salem's Lot. Maybe it was because I watched it when I was 14 while being a huge fan of modern horrors but from memory I thought it was one of the most timid horrors I've seen.

Phase IV just lost every ounce of scary it had when I saw it on MST3K.

Salems Lot scary? I've seen scarier children's shows.

I saw Trilogy of Terror when it first came out and honestly that list sorta stinks. I was born in 1970 and saw a ton of movies back when I was a kid and the ones that scared me the most were..

5. The Sentinel
4. Prophecy ( the one with the bear )
3. John Carpenter's The Thing
2. Alien
1. The Exorcist

There are few others like THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN, creepy when I was kid but kinda lame now but horror has gone the drain.

Salems Lot did scare me the first time I saw it. It doesn't now but I remember it was scarey to me then. Anything unreal doesn't scare me...you know stuff that you know can't possibly happen but movies that deal with real evil like the devil, demons, like paranormal activity or possesions and such...then that's another story all together.
