Slashfilm writes:
A trusted theater (read: exhibitor) source has just exclusively alerted /Film that Warner Bros. plans to attach a six minute prologue to The Dark Knight Rises to all IMAX prints of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Christopher Nolan‘s third film in his Batman trilogy is being released by Warner Bros. and Brad Bird‘s first live action film is Paramount, but the arrangement would certainly be mutually beneficial as Mission: Impossible is the biggest IMAX release of the holiday season. Putting a teaser for The Dark Knight Rises in front of it would certainly drive audiences to that format as opposed to regular theaters.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
Wow, that would be unreal
Hmmm....Not to get too far off subject, but this shouldn't have been approved. It's got the wrong source. The description even says it's from Batman-News (which even then, it actually comes from Slashfilm), so WGTC shouldn't have been used as the source.
Not really sure why Paramount (who's producing MI3) would allow this. I Am Legend was a WB property so it made sense for them to cross promote. What would Paramount get out of the deal?
Update: Sources are saying its actually 6 minutes instead of 8.
And I'm sure Paramount would be FINE with this arrangement. What would they get out of the deal? Tons of more people going to see MI: 4 on IMAX screens instead of regular for the Batman footage. Big increase in ticket sales.
im gonna watch that 8 minute prologue and then leave lol
