Warner Bros. Pictures has revealed the new trailer for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows which you can watch using the player below! Hitting theaters on December 16, the Guy Ritchie-directed film stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Noomi Rapace, Jared Harris, Eddie Marsan, Stephen Fry and Rachel McAdams.
Sherlock Holmes (Downey Jr.) has always been the smartest man in the room... until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large—Professor Moriarty (Harris)—and not only is he Holmes' intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade (Marsan), points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder—a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by Professor Moriarty. The cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead of Holmes as he spins a web of death and destruction—all part of a greater plan that, if he succeeds, will change the course of history
I really didn't care for the last movie and am not over excited for this one but I'll catch it on video.
I really liked the last film, but it wasn't perfect by any means. It still lacked the Holmes' feel. I just never got the sense that he was as brilliant as he really is.
I'm excited for this film, and I enjoyed this trailer, even though it's heavy on action and not plot. Still should be fun.
The cast looks on the ball here, but these films never make me excited or even interested in seeing them. The first one kind of looked good, but it ended up really boring and dull.
This second trailer looks exactly like the first trailer which looks exactly like the first movie, dull and boring.
I'll still see it, but I'm not holding my breath.
I liked it a lot but that's because I'm such a RDJ fan I guess. His dry sense of humor is always a plus in my book. I know I'll enjoy this movie too. The rest of the cast is good too and I love murder mysteries anyway.
