The Simpsons Studio On Salary Dispute:We Can't Produce Future Seasons Under Current Financial Model

The future of the longest-running scripted series on television, Fox’s The Simpsons, is once again in doubt over cast renegotiations, a torturous cycle we go through every couple of years. Like they did the last time around, the voice cast and the studio behind the veteran series, 20th Century Fox TV, have reached an impasse over the size of the actors’ salaries. “23 seasons in, The Simpsons is as creatively vibrant as ever and beloved by millions around the world,” 20th TV said in a statement.

Well dude, they want what's due to them. I don't think they are replaceable.. I mean, sure, you could bring in other actors to imitate the voice, but it'd never be the same thing.

true but it was only a matter of time tho if fox and simpsons part ways now possible it can be on a channel like comidy central (sorry for spelling it sucks)

$4 Million per season and is an awful lot of moolah. i like the fact that they're all willing to take a 30% cut but one has to wonder how big a piece they want from all the other stuff.

Fox would never agree to give them some back-end, that's where all the money is.
