The Fast and the Furious 6 And 7 May Shoot Back To Back. Jason Statham To Join Cast?

Twitch says:

There is potentially some big news in the works for fans of the Fast And The Furious franchise.

Sources tell Twitch that Universal Pictures are currently looking in to the possibility of shooting Fast 6 and Fast 7 back to back in Europe throughout 2012 and, furthermore, that they are entering into preliminary conversations with Jason Statham to explore the possibility of the action star joining one or both films.

He would be a big plus to them both as far as I'm concerned. They need some fresh blood anyway....not that I want him stuck doing those movies. He can get his own movie....I don't know why he doesn't do another Transporter.

Yes, but it won't be Jason doing the part of Frank. It's another British actor playing the part. I'm sure he'll do a good enough job but it still won't be the same.

Awesome news! Loved Fast Five and can't wait to check out 6 and 7. Statham will fit right in with the latest film being set in Europe!

Ugh lol. I like him, but this means its going back to the action flick with cars somewhat thrown in there. I really liked Tokyo Drift, I wish they would return to that character and style. It was all about the cars, and the youg teen guy that was more down to earth was a lot more interesting to me.

NOTE Ive yet to see Fast Five, sucks not having money lol
