CNN says:
As a strapping, dapper actor with an English accent, Idris Elba is an obvious choice to play James Bond. But the actor tells NPR that talk of him potentially landing the part is nothing more than gossip.
"It's a rumor," he said on "Morning Edition." "It's a very old rumor. My dad and I were talking about this the other day. I would do it, but I don't want to be called the first black James Bond. Do you understand what I 'm saying? Sean Connery wasn't the Scottish James Bond and Daniel Craig wasn't the blue-eyed James Bond. So if I played him, I don't want to be called the black James Bond."
“One Of Them Days” will either become a single outing or a franchise in Issa Rae and Keke Palmer’s filmographies – depending on how well it does.
Wish You Were Here is Julia Stiles' version of The Notebook.
Ad Vitam Review: This movie 5 is a frustrating watch. It begins slowly, gets ludicrously silly, but never settles on a footing. Action is forgettable, the story feels like patched-together cliches from greater action movies and performances are lacklustre.
in the case of this theres no grey area to it of course most of the public is going to refer to him as the "Black Bond" theres nothing to it.
there comes the story in mind as well that would be change
Never considered him a 'ladies man' nor has he ever displayed the personality of a dangerous go-getter who jet sets around the world with many tools.
Chiwetel Ejiofor or Anthony Mackie.
I have no objections for bond going black but it would be just a publicity stunt. Kind of like if Bond went female. I am not sure people will like either of them because it would be done for publicity. Craig is a good bond. Bringing back to the routes of bond. Who ever the next bond is they must do the same. No going back to pre Craig bond. Way to corny
Black Bond? Why not Asian Bond, or Mexican Bond, or Egyptian Bond? Why is it that after white it automatically has to be black?
I'm not really keen on a "Black Bond". Why even do that? If they wanted to put him as the lead in a Bond movie, then just go the way that the Bourne franchise is going: a new actor means a new character. Same world, same agency, same badass type of agent. Just a different agent. He doesn't have to be the actual James Bond character.
